Try it: turn a word into a number

Type a word for your business or brand. We will show how it looks on a phone keypad — that is exactly how vanity numbers work.

Your number would read
1-800-___-____
1-800-YOUR-WORD

Search live numbers 🔎

Type a word, a few digits, or an area code to find a phone number worth remembering. Results, prices, and checkout are shown right here in the search tool. What you see is what is available right now.

Not finding the one? Tell us the word or pattern you want at info@snagmynumber.com — we will hunt for it and let you know what turns up. No charge to ask.

Three kinds of numbers. One right fit.

These are the three genuinely different ways to buy. Read the “best for” line at the bottom of each card if you are not sure.

★ Our pick

1 · Vanity numbers

Numbers that spell a word, like 1-800-FLOWERS. Customers see it once and remember it — on a truck, a billboard, or an ad.

  • Spells your name, trade, or offer
  • Best for ads, vehicles & signage
  • The most memorable option there is

Best for: businesses that advertise.
Why it is our pick, in one line: people remember words, not random digits.

2 · Local numbers

A phone number with your city’s area code. It tells callers “we are from here” before you even pick up.

  • Pick the area code you want
  • Feels familiar and local to callers
  • Great for a second line or a new location

Best for: local shops, services, and anyone who wants a hometown feel in a new city.

3 · Toll-free numbers

800, 888, 877, 866, 855, 844, or 833 numbers. Free for your callers to dial, and your business looks established anywhere in the country.

  • Works nationwide, no area-code limits
  • Can also spell a word (vanity toll-free)
  • Looks established from day one

Best for: online sellers, national services, and anyone taking calls from everywhere.

How it works — in plain English

Three steps. Two phrases worth knowing: to port out means moving your phone number to a phone company (carrier) of your choice. Parking means holding a number safely until you are ready to use it. Every number at Snag My Number can be parked, forwarded, or ported out whenever you are ready.

Questions, answered straight

Do I need to change my phone or carrier?
No. Most buyers either forward the new number to a phone they already have, or port it (move it) to their current carrier. Either way, your existing phone keeps working.
What does “parking” a number mean?
Parking means the number is held in your name and kept active, even if you are not using it yet. People park numbers before a business launch, a rebrand, or a move — so nobody else can take it in the meantime.
How long does it take to port out?
When you port out a phone number, the timeline depends on the carriers involved, and we do not want to promise you a timeline we do not control. After you buy, email us and we will tell you the expected steps for your specific carrier and help you through them.
Can I get a number with my area code?
Search your area code in the tool above. Availability changes as numbers are bought and released, so if nothing fits today, ask us — we can keep an eye out for you.
I already own a number. Can you help me manage it?
Yes — that is a big part of what our contact page is for. Email info@snagmynumber.com about forwarding, parking, porting, or billing questions for a number you manage through us.
What if the number I want is taken?
Tell us the word or pattern anyway. We will search variations for you and say plainly if we cannot find it — we would rather tell you that than sell you a number you do not love.

Terms of Service

The short version: we help you find and buy phone numbers, the search tool shows live availability and prices, and the fine print below explains exactly how that works.

1. Who we are. SnagMyNumber.com (“SnagMyNumber,” “we,” “us”) is a phone number brokerage and marketplace service. We act as a broker of phone numbers: we help customers discover, purchase, and manage numbers, and we do not claim to own every number shown in search results.

2. Where numbers come from. All phone numbers offered through this site are sourced from parties licensed and authorized to provide, hold, or transfer telephone numbers, including licensed carriers and authorized number providers and marketplaces. Numbers are provided subject to the rules of the relevant carrier, provider, and applicable law and industry regulation.

3. Availability and pricing. Search results are shown live by our search provider and can change at any time. A number is not reserved or yours until checkout is completed and payment is confirmed. Prices shown in the search tool at checkout are the prices for that transaction; taxes, carrier fees, porting fees, or ongoing service or parking fees charged by a carrier or provider, where they apply, will be shown or explained by that carrier or provider.

4. Porting, forwarding, and service. Telephone service itself is provided by your chosen carrier or service provider, not by SnagMyNumber, unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific product. Porting timelines and approval rest with the carriers involved. You are responsible for providing accurate information for any port or transfer request and for keeping your account and payment details current for any recurring parking, forwarding, or management service.

5. Acceptable use. You agree to use any number you obtain lawfully, including compliance with applicable telemarketing, robocall, consumer-protection, and anti-spam laws. Numbers may not be used for fraud, harassment, impersonation, or unlawful activity. We or the providing carrier may suspend or reclaim a number used in violation of this section or of law.

6. No guarantee of a specific number. We will make reasonable efforts to help you find a requested word, pattern, or area code, but we cannot guarantee that any specific number is or will become available.

7. Refunds. Because a completed purchase transfers or reserves a specific number for you, completed sales are treated as final except where the providing carrier or provider’s terms, or applicable law, provide otherwise. If we or a provider cannot complete your purchase for a technical reason, we will work with you on a replacement number or a refund of that purchase, as applicable.

8. Liability. To the maximum extent allowed by law, SnagMyNumber is not liable for a carrier’s or provider’s acts, service outages, porting delays outside our control, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of a number. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

9. Changes. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.

10. Contact. Questions about these terms, your order, or managing your number: info@snagmynumber.com.
